This specialized service is generally offered by freight forwarders, but as a third-party/public warehouse, Grane has the resources that others may not. Grane’s Air Cargo Facilities
Our bonded CFS facilities are conveniently located near Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD) and Chicago Rockford International Airport (RFD). You benefit from a closer location to your air freight forwarding customers, while the airlines no longer have to wait for buildup and breakdown services.
O’Hare Container Freight Station
Located in Bensenville — just three miles from O’Hare’s international gates — our CFS boasts 175,000+ square feet. Our customers feel secure because they know that their cargo is protected and not exposed to Chicago’s rain and snow.

Rockford Drop Station
Located just 58 nautical miles from O’Hare, this facility provides an optimal air cargo solution for the air freight forwarding industry around the O’Hare area. RFD is certified to handle the Boeing 747-8 Freighters. With our exclusive roller bed trailer fleet, any cargo flight can be single-sourced to Grane.
